LMS Tips: Setting up 2FA
How to set up 2FA
Transcription:
Hello and welcome to eLeaP. In this tutorial, we will guide you through setting up two-factor authentication for your single sign-on account. eLeaP supports single sign-on, which is crucial for industries like life sciences or aviation, where compliance with regulations such as 14 CFR or 21 CFR is necessary. This includes ensuring that e-signature processes have proper authentication protocols.
Firstly, as an admin, you should activate two-factor authentication for your account. Now, let’s look at the process from an end user’s perspective. I’ll use single sign-on to log into eLeaP. Here is my eLeaP account; I have a course.
Although I’ve accessed the course material, I am required to set up two-factor authentication. To do this, I go to my profile settings and enable the two-factor authentication option. You will need an authenticator app like Microsoft Authenticator or Google Authenticator for this process.
I’ve already prepared my authentication app, so I’ll enter the provided code. With this step, my account is now secured with two-factor authentication. This setup is a one-time process. For future logins, you’ll simply enter your standard login details followed by the authentication code from your app.
Make sure to input the code exactly as it appears on your authentication device. Once the code is verified, you’ll gain access to your course. This two-factor authentication setup is specifically designed for single sign-on users needing an additional authentication layer to e-sign their courses in eLeaP.
As always, if you have any questions about two-factor authentication or other eLeaP features, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
